The Baptism preparation course run in St. Thomas More parish is designed to prepare parents bringing their children to be baptised and follows the Rite of Baptism. It explains the words, symbols, questions and actions that have been passed down to us in this great sacrament from the early days of the Church. It gives parents and godparents a better understanding of what they are undertaking when a child is baptised and will help and equip them in their role of developing the spiritual life of the child.
This course is run over two sessions lasting approximately one hour. The sessions are held on the first two Thursday evenings of every second month. They start at 7.00pm and are held in the St. Thomas More parish lounge.
Baptisms are then held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month at 10.30am or during 9.00 am Mass unless otherwise arranged.
If you are expecting a baby or have a child under the age of 8 years that you would like Baptised, please register your interest at the St. Thomas More parish office (07) 575 4807 between the hours of 9am and noon.
