Our Vincentian ministry is to help people in crisis, learning to comfort them without taking on their pains and to assure them that crises are not meant to carried alone.
The Vincentian Vocation clearly expresses the deep meaning of the unity which is so tangibly felt by all its members.A vocation, a call. To make a personal commitment to be a Vincentian is a call to give personal service to the people suffering from all forms of poverty (material, emotional, spiritual, physical). To participate personally, and directly in helping people in need and giving them the gift of one's heart and friendship.
Charity goes far beyond almsgiving. It implies a constant state of humility and modesty. Almsgiving is not enough, we must make a personal contact with those who suffer. So we meet with every person who makes a call to us, either in their home, or at the church. We assess what their greatest need is and try to meet that need, whatever it might be. Mostly we will meet people in twos for our safety and to help each other to resolve the problem as best we can.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at the St Thomas More Church complex at 9.30am. We would welcome new members.
We meet with the District Council about every 3 months. We are financially supported by generous donations in our box in the church foyer every weekend, and have been occasional bequests.
