Youth Site

Richard and Kelly Sealy youth missionaries.

The purpose of youth ministry at St. Thomas More is to assist youth in our region to encounter Jesus and their Lord and Savior, through His body the Church.

St. Thomas More youth ministry empowers young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. We foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person, and we draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the church.

We do this by offering weekly meetings in which the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith is present in fresh and dynamic ways. Lighthouse, our senior youth group, is for school years 10-13, and Tahu, the junior group, is for years 7-9.

We aim to make our activities both fun and meaningful, reaching out to youth and leading them on the path of deep conversion. Twice a year each youth group goes on retreat, where we deepen their experience of Jesus in the Sacraments of the church, and bring them face-to-face with the reality of God's love for them. These young people, shining like lanterns in the darkness of this generation, will continue to transform the community around them as lay leaders, priests, religious, and missionaries.
